The Brief
Originally designed as an internal system for an IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) company,
our solution attracted the eye of auditors who hadn’t seen such a system before.
Ticking most of the boxes required by the standard, we were advised to consider
selling it as a product. We did exactly that, and in consultation with a number of
ITADs we launched ITAD Collect in 2018.
As an ITAD, traceability of all assets
collected was key, along with recording of erasure certificates. Details of end use;
either resale or recycling was also important.
Our Approach
ITAD Collect was written from the ground up to meet the
ADISA standard for asset disposal and is the only product
on the market designed specifically for the UK market.
With complete tracking of every item collected, and
rigorous enforcement of processing, ITAD Collect gives
ITADs the tools they need to gain certification with minimal
effort. The workflow nature of the system guides you
through the process with ease.
With integrations to market leading software erasure
systems such as Blancco and Kroll, ITAD Collect makes it
easy to process items and import the erasure certificates.
Auto generation of environmental certificates, and ability
to create any number of custom reports, ITAD Collect
makes the process a breeze!
Stock management allows easy searching of all items held
by a company, with the option to filter by specification
to find the item the customer wants. Sales can then be
recorded to track where items end up.
Over the years the system evolved to add more and more
tools to help ITADs run their business. From calendar to
map view, scheduling collections is now more efficient than
ever.
The Outcome
ITAD Collect is now in use with a number of leading UK based
ITADS. With the announcement of the new ADISA
Global Standard 8 in 2022, ITAD Collect customers were
amongst the first to be certified to the new ISO standard.
At Nighthawk Software, we continue to work with our
customers to evolve ITAD Collect and offer improved
functionality to our customers.
