A few years ago I was approached by an electrical engineering company that used a paper based timesheet system. Each employee would come in to the office every Monday morning and hand in their timesheet. The admin team woudl then spend monday morning typing this data in to the accounts system.

We calculated that this was costing the business an hour of lost time per employee, per week. They had 10 employees. If each had instead gone straight to their assigned jobs, the business would have generated an extra £26,000 per year!

And that's before counting the work done by the admin team to enter all the data and run the reports

We automated this process by creating an online timesheet system. Users could instead post their timesheets online at the end of each day.

Admin team now had Monday mornings free to concentrate on more productive tasks

This is a key example of just how effective our methods can be - with a saving of over £26k PER YEAR for our customer in this case - just from automating one process.
